May Newsletter
Greetings to all! It's been a while, but with summer coming it's time to let everyone know what's going on with the club.
First of all we are on our once a month meeting schedule from May through August with meetings being as follows: May 4th, June 1st, July 6th and August 3rd. These meetings will be held at the Turner's Pavilion in Williamsburg at 7:00 PM. Please join us.
On Saturday, May 1st there will be a "Legends of Snowmobiling" dinner at Chesterfield Four Seasons Club to honor local people who area clubs feel are worthy of being called a "Legend" for all they have done to enhance snowmobiling in the Hilltowns over the years. Doors open at 2:00 for horseshoes and more, along with a roast beef dinner being served at 5:00 PM. Entertainment will be provided by the band "Kick Back". The cost is $15.00 per ticket. They are available at Spruce Corner Restaurant or by calling Deb at 268-3145. We hope you can attend!
On Sunday, May 16th the club will be doing a Chicken BBQ at the 3rd Annual Tractor Parade at the Cummington Fairgrounds. This has been a fun and profitable event for the club. For more info. call Jerry at 268-8363 or e-mail Deb at Lawtonhillmaple@msn.com. If you are interested in helping on that day please let one of us know.
On June 18th-20th we will be holding a campout/work weekend at Tilton Town Farm Field, in Goshen. Our club picnic will be held that same weekend on Saturday May 19th at 5:00 PM. You need to RSVP if you are attending the club picnic that night so we can plan on food. Also, if you are camping please let one of us know. We are hoping to be able to have as many volunteers as possible to finish up our hours on the grant we are currently working on getting finalized for 2008.
Once again the Cummington Fair will be here before you know it. August 26-29th to be exact! The club will be operating the Food Booth again this year, so we are counting on your support to help it run smoothly again. You will be getting a phone call from either Jerry or one of our other members in July or early August to set a date and time for you to volunteer a few hours. Remember you get in for free for only a few hours and then get the rest of the day/night to enjoy the shows.
Hope to see you all at some of our upcoming events!
