Spring/Summer Newsletter

Spring has sprung…finally! It was a long winter and the riding was great. Hope you were all able to get out there and enjoy all the snow we had.

We are now on our summer schedule with our meetings. They are as follows: May 6th, June 3rd, July 1st, August 5th, then back to the first and third Tuesday of the month beginning in September. The meetings will be held at the Turner’s Pavilion in Williamsburg for the next four months, instead of Spruce Corner Restaurant due to the nice weather.

On May 18th the club will be supplying food for the Tractor Parade at Cummington Fairgrounds. We will be serving breakfast, hamburgs and hot dogs at lunch and a chicken BBQ for dinner. If you are interested in helping that day, give Jerry a call at 268-8363 or Deb at 268-3145.

On June 22nd at 4:00 PM we will be holding our club picnic at Turner’s Pavilion in Williamsburg. It will be a pot luck, so bring your favorite dish to share. We will supply cold drinks. You do need to RSVP Jerry(268-8363) or Deb(268-3145) so we know how much meat to buy.

Cummington Fair will be here before you know it. As in the past, we will be doing the Fair Food Booth as our major fundraiser of the year. The dates are Thursday, August 21st - Sunday, August 24th. Once again, we will be calling all club members to work a shift (or two). Anyone who has worked the booth before knows how much fun we all have, plus you get to enjoy the Fair for free before or after your shift is done. If there is a certain time or day that you would prefer to work, let Jerry or Deb know and we will book your slot in advance so you’re assured to get the time you want. Remember…we will be calling you!!

The Goshen Fall Festival will be held on Sunday, October 12th. Once again, there will be an Antique Engine Show, Vintage Sled Show, craft fair, food, and more. If you have any ideas, let us know, either by e-mail or phone, and we will be glad to consider it.

We are planning a camp-out/trail work weekend in DAR State Forest in mid-October, possibly the 18th and 19th.We will be setting up in the group campsites. More info will follow once we get the date definitely set with the park.

Have a great Spring, and we hope to see you at our monthly meetings and our functions through out the Summer!!
